16 women with disabilities have started garment training since last December, in AAN office at Bhrikutimandap Kathmandu in a daily basis. They have been learning to sew shirt, pant and skirt. Sapana thokar is a girl in wheelchair and has been attending in training centre regularly. She says “before this training many nonce things used to come on my head and I had almost distressed because of job and career. After starting this sewing training I am busy on sewing school dress i.e. shirt, pants, skirt etc. So that slowly I am recovering. Now hope flows on my head to get job for betterment and I am dreaming a successful fashion designer in future.” Trainees use to come at training centre 11: AM and learns, practices till 2:00 PM in a daily basis. In these days we are building the hope for women with disabilities by the garment training.
